Meal planning can be a bit of a chore, but here’s a fantastic way to make planning fun, and to explore the world through your kitchen.
We love this idea because it gets the whole family involved. It’s a perfect opportunity to explore new recipes, spend time together and test new techniques.
Heres how it works!
Saturday - Choose a country to focus on for the week or the month. Pick 2 recipes inspired by that country and make a grocery list. Involve the whole family in choosing which continent and which country you’ll learn about.
Sunday - Buy and prepare as many of the ingredients as you can. Encourage your kids to learn about the country and get them to help in the kitchen.
Weeknights or Weekends - Choose 1-2 nights of the week or month where you can sit down as a family and enjoy the inspired meals you’ve planned. You can choose dinner, lunch or breakfast!
Talk about what you and your kids learned about the country (pick one thing each person found interesting) and talk about which recipes you’ll keep in your arsenal.
Tip: This works really well for potlucks or big family dinners! Choose a country or theme and task everyone with a different part of the meal.
